ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE: Nature Mirrors Human Intuitive Intentions

ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE: Nature Mirrors Human Intuitive Intentions

Nature Mirrors Human Intuitive Intentions

When I founded Magentic in July of 2017, I bought myself a "Money Tree" plant to decorate my "office" (aka a desk in my living room). At the time, I started with several very small clients—friends around the world who were willing to give me a piece of business, collaborate on a strategy, develop their branding identity suite, and guide their remote, creative team. I made $8000 by the end of that year. (Here’s an article from two years prior, featuring the baby tree.)

In some regards, my new business was a success. In other ways, it made me think, oh dear... how am I going to make this work? How will I grow this business, impact great work, and create step one of financial stability? I knew I had a lot of work to do, but I also knew I needed to 'D-E-C-I-D-E’ (linking another article about true, soulful decisions).

Meditating on what I deeply wanted to learn and provide, I asked for one really stable client to create great work with, practice my craft, learn from wise collaborators, and prove to myself that I'm capable of everything I set out to do, because I'd done it and could draw on that knowledge and experience 'in' me.

Then something funny happened with my Money Tree. These little trees are usually sold with around 6-8 skinny stems woven together to create a full leafy canopy. Up until that point, my little tree grew as one would expect since I bought it….

Upon reflecting on what I wanted to practice and receive in my business, the Universe (or whatever you like to call our energetic connection with this world) reflected my intentions in this little tree, which seemed to say, okay, "Your wish is my command. Let's do this!"

Within the week, my tree reflected my intuitive human nature and intention. All but one of the little stems withered away and gave way to one very strong stem, bursting to grow all on its own. I also recognize this as a metaphor for me in my business, as a solopreneur at the time, needing freedom and quiet to practice my boundaries and discernment within myself before asking anyone to join me. In creating a transformation agency, I continuously step up to evolve myself with it.

Within the next week, a proposal I'd sent out came back. Weeks later, we started to work on what became a 3-year relationship of a series of 0-1 wins (and tests and fails). The money was steady, fair, the client always paid on time, the hours were good and allowed me to maintain my fierce boundaries as a mom who picks her kids up from school and plays with presence. And on school snow days, they wished me a fun sledding day, without me even having to ask.

This wonderful client carried me through the pandemic as an essential business, and I carried them through too in so many ways. Beyond our great work together, I got to prove that my cultural transformation worked too, by modeling, practicing, and witnessing powerful shifts.

Such a gift.

Today, as I made lunch for my kids after picking them up at 11:30am for their 1/2 day Parent Teacher Conference day—which requires more parental coordination effort than a full day off of school—I noticed my much bigger tree, now a pillar of structure centering my living room, sprouting two new branches with uplifting optimism.

These two tall little leafy sprouts make me very happy. I’m extra present to it calling to me—to notice it and smile often, knowingly.

The moral of this story is that nature mirrors life, and life mirrors nature. Our lives mirror our words and our intentions.

Wisdom flows when we support ourselves with positivity and creativity, making space for wonder.

On this International Women’s Day, I wish every single person who reads this message a wonderful and prosperous day, week, month, year, and life.

Choose your thoughts, choose your words, speak your magic out loud, and give yourself the validation that your gut, vibes, nudges, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, knowings, and intuition are guides here for us to use—especially in this age of artificial intelligence, let’s lean into our ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE.

There is magic in the mundane.
